COMPANY PROFILE
Instant grocery commerce that delivers products in as little as 10 minutes (Q-commerce)
OniGO Corporation is a Q-commerce company that has established a logistics base specializing in home-delivery supermarkets ("dark stores") and provides "OniGO," an online supermarket that delivers products to consumers in as little as 10 minutes from the time of order by handling its own last-one-mile logistics. With the increasing shift to EC for all consumer transactions, especially for fresh food, the "I want it now" need is becoming more and more apparent. Consumers can use OniGO to order groceries online, saving them time in preparing for shopping and making the rounds in stores. From the early stages, the company has involved foreign investors to finance the project, and has established the business mainly in urban centers, incorporating best practices in this field that are ahead of their partners overseas.
COMPANY STORY
Origin
After working for Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation in Russia, Mr. Naoya Umeshita started CarPrice Japan and sold it to Rakuten (now Rakuten Car). Later, while providing strategic and capital policy support to entrepreneurs, he focused on the Q-commerce field, which was emerging simultaneously around the world, and founded OniGO in 2021.
Strength
Execution speed that led to the opening of the store within 2 months of its establishment, financing that involved foreign investors from the beginning, supply chain development, and B2B partnerships.
