Revolutionizing Analog Chip Design using Generative AI co-pilots
Analog chips serve as the critical bridge between the physical and digital world. Analog ICs account for over 50% of the cost and time in mixed-signal chip design (such as those used in iPhones). While digital chip design has long been automated, Analog, RF, and Mixed-signal design have remained largely manual for decades. Maieutic's AI co-pilot for analog chip design represents a breakthrough product that can accelerate the development of advanced chips by fundamentally compressing design cycles and redefining productivity for chip engineers worldwide.
COMPANY STORY
Origin
Maieutic’s CEO, Gireesh, holds 50+ patents in analog chip design from his time at Texas Instruments and Qualcomm and is an MIT TR35 awardee. CBO Ashish and CPO Rakesh worked alongside Gireesh at Texas Instruments and Qualcomm. In 2016, the three of them co-founded Steradian Semiconductors, a startup developing 4D radar chips for autonomous driving. Steradian was acquired by the Japanese corporation Renesas in 2022, after which they continued working at Renesas until 2024. Earlier 2025, the three of them joined forces with CTO Krishna, an expert in digital signal processing and AI/ML systems, to co-found Maieutic.
Strength
Maieutic is building a generative AI co-pilot for analog chip designers to augment IC design, enabling faster chip-design cycles and improved efficiency. The Maieutic agent is powered by supervised fine-tuning on top of LLMs, combined with the company’s proprietary, first-of-its-kind knowledge graph for analog IC design.
