Tomotaka(Tommy) Goji, Managing Partner and President of UTEC, was invited to G8 Innovation Conference

The Innovation Conference brought together today’s leading innovators and thought leaders across disciplines, from the G8 summit in the UK on June 17th and 18th, 2013. Openness to ideas and technologies from across the spectrum of business and society is essential to find solutions to the greatest challenges facing the world. From public policy to science and technology, this conference was facilitating conversations that influenced the dialogue throughout the UK G8 Presidency.
UTEC and its disruptive portfolio companies, PeptiDream, Inc., and MUJIN, Inc. were introduced by the following video at the conference.“UTEC Introduction (YouTube)” UTEC, of which Tomotaka (Tommy) Goji is a founding partner with Japan's first national university The University of Tokyo, is a seed-early stage venture capital firm founded in 2004, managing 150 million dollar funds combined, that has collaborated with world-class scientists and entrepreneurs to bring their ideas to the global marketplace. Goji highlights two of UTEC's disruptive portfolio companies with sizable international customer/management exposures: PeptiDream, Inc., which went public in the Tokyo Stock Exchange in June 2013 that has a platform technology for the discovery of "macrocyclic peptides," as well as MUJIN, Inc., which offers an "industry-first" robot programing solution that can automatically plan optimized robot motions.
