Realize a society of Perception-Broadening by bio-sensors

PROVIGATE Inc. is a startup spun out from the University of Tokyo. The company's proprietary technology is based on the highly sensitive bio-transistor sensor technologies invented by Associate Professor, Toshiya Sakata at the university’s School of Engineering. Sensors which are able to measure dynamic changes inside the body are defined as “perception-broadening sensors”. By sensing changes of health status in real-time, the company aims to promote a sensor application system designed to motivate individuals to change their habits for health promotion, resulting in a society where everyone can live long, fulfilling, and active lives. The company is focusing its first efforts on the development of non-invasive tear-glucose sensors.

The company is based on bio-transistor technology invented by University of Tokyo’s Associate Professor, Toshiya Sakata, whose past track record includes the invention of core technologies for next generation sequencers. PROVIGATE was founded in order to realize perception-broadening sensors utilizing the bio-transistor for mobile, wearable, and implantable devices.

A highly experienced team with knowledge, experience and track record in the field of in-vitro diagnostic and medical devices from fundamental research to mass-production, regulatory affair and product launch and know-how related to the treatment of clinical specimen and control of non-specific adsorption and electrical noise.
