The femtech movement has been breaking ground around the world as the new option to solve health issues specific to biological women through the use of technology. The Ministry of Economy Trade and Industry (METI) references the economic impact of femtech within Japan and it is expected to reach 2 trillion yen by 2025. The femtech company, fermata inc established in October 2019 aims to create and move the femtech market within Asia and Japan.

This pioneering femtech company provides consumers with the latest and most innovative femtech products through the world’s first femtech e-commerce platform, dedicated brick-and-mortar stores and wholesale business. As a step into inspiring and educating current and potential consumers, and building a strong community, fermata holds events, workshops and the world’s largest femtech exhibition to create awareness around the industry.

Following the interest and success of their consumer division in Japan, fermata has expanded to include a fully-catered menu for corporate companies. They provide one-of-a-kind support for new businesses entering the femtech market in Japan which can include ideation, to distribution and retail partnerships. They are also able to support companies that require Class 2 medical device registration - inclusive of cosmetic and quasi-drug licensing. They do work alongside Japan-based companies to improve employee benefits and awareness around women’s health.

Alongside the University of Tokyo, fermata has conducted a joint research study to collaborate and discuss with the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare on femtech products that have not yet reached the Japan market before.



In September 2019, an event featuring femtech products from around the world was held in Tokyo. Witnessing the enthusiasm of the audience and sensing its potential demand and enthusiasm in the Asian and Japanese market, the event became fermata's signature and was coined, "Femtech Fes!"
