Hide Tsuji is a venture capitalist at UTEC focusing on CleanTech, software and service investments. Hide has backed FCO Holdings(fuel cell), Smart Solar International (solar), Prometech Software (GPU computing) and Lifenet Insurance (internet insurance). Prior to joining UTEC, Hide served as the Chief Operating Officer of Visionarts, an internet software start-up (acquired by Sony Corporation). Earlier, Hide was a Japanese government legal officer with Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) and Agency for Natural Resources and Energy (ANRE). Hide worked in a variety of positions at government agencies, and was engaged in gthe Kyoto Protocolh negotiation in 1997 to make an international framework for global warming problem. Hide graduated from the University of Tokyo, the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and London Business School.
